In the course of his interesting article on the practice of introspection and its justification, ‘Introspection as practice', Pierre Vermersch reveals a commitment to a particular framework or model of the nature of introspection. My comments in this discussion note will be directed towards that model. The following passage from Vermersch's article may serve as a clear account of the model to which I refer.
